Author, Speaker, Financial Educator
Starr Cochran became a Certified Financial Planner in 1990 and worked as a registered representative for independent broker-dealers until 2006 when she decided to retire from managing clients’ portfolios and concentrate her professional pursuits in the areas of writing, speaking engagements, financial education and matters of the heart.
Starr has written two financial novels which draw readers into the world of four women who face personal and financial challenges. Listen in on their regular money workshops and find out how they personalize what they learn about money to their own situations. Articles in the books’ appendices offer readers the opportunity to delve deeper into the books’ topics.
Starr’s latest book, The Financial O, Reaching Your Financial Climax, is a non-fiction work keeping with her commitment to discovering and implementing non-traditional avenues through which to educate and entertain the public in the area of finance. The book begins with a series of questions which enables readers to discover which combination of the four ways to make money (fourplay) will work to achieve one’s personal financial O. A chapter is devoted to each of the moneymaking pursuits with a smattering of sexual inuendo to keep what has been a traditionally dry subject light and fun.
